Achieving the Standards
There are minimum standards for any non-statutory tourism accommodation wishing to work with Fáilte Ireland. As a self-catering provider, we must comply with Fáilte Irelands Code of Ethics. “The standards are designed to identify the essential aspects of the guest’s journey and experience. This annual independent quality check is a chance to benchmark where we stand in relation to the required quality standards which consumers value, against industry standards and local competitors”. There were several areas we had to demonstrate meeting the Code of Ethics at all stages of a guest’s interaction. From pre-arrival, upon arrival, during the stay and at departure. We had to demonstrate how we meet these standards to an independent assessor. Areas assessed include providing clear and accurate information to guests, staff are available at appropriate times, staff are contactable throughout your stay and that guests have full knowledge of all facilities and services provided.
You are also assured that all the facilities in the property are comfortable and well maintained and meet the exceptionally high standard of cleanliness. So you can be confident that when you book with us, you will receive friendly and courteous service at all times. There will always be a reliable source of knowledge to hand whether you want to know something about the house or the local amenities nearby. We will provide advice on where to go and what to do during your stay with us in West Cork, to ensure you have a memorable holiday. In the event of any question or an issue arising there will always be helpful staff to assist you in any matter . Whether it be where to get the best meal, the best vantage point to watch the sunset over Bantry Bay, the best shop to buy local crafts or simply where to get the best pint nearby.
